To build resilience and protect livelihoods of the most vulnerable communities in Malawi, ARCS operates in four districts: Rumphi, Mzimba, Ntchisi and Machinga in close partnership with key institutions.


Ministry of Agriculture - Ethiopia

The Ethiopian Meteorology Institute is responsible for establishing and operating a national network of meteorological stations, collecting and managing weather data, and providing forecasts and early warnings on adverse weather conditions. It disseminates information to the public and stakeholders, supports national development through climate studies, monitors air quality, and fulfills Ethiopia’s international obligations in meteorology. The Institute also ensures the centralized management of meteorological data and offers services and advice to both institutions and the general public.

Helvetas Ethiopia

Helvetas supports disadvantaged people and communities in low- and middle-income countries who want to actively improve their living conditions. Through partnership-based development cooperation, they promote pathways for self-help and create fair opportunities for all. Helvetas provide humanitarian aid following disasters and in times of crisis.

iDE is a global team of 1,200 changemakers from diverse backgrounds in international development and the private sector. Through community-driven programs, ORDA Ethiopia works to build resilience, enhance livelihoods, and create lasting impact.

Relief Society of Tigray

The Relief Society of Tigray (REST) is an Ethiopian grassroots organization committed to working with the poorest communities to bring about positive, sustainable change. Originally established within a context of civil war in 1978, today REST is the largest operational NGO in the region, pursing a wide range of relief, rehabilitation and development programs.


Tigrai Development Association

Tigrai Development Association (TDA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of the Tigray region. Established in 1989 by the Tigraian diaspora, TDA now operates from its headquarters in Mekele, implementing development initiatives in education, health, and community resilience. With a broad membership base and a strong commitment to transparency and collaboration, TDA continues to play a vital role in rebuilding and advancing the region.


Ethiopian Meteorology Institute

The Ministry of Agriculture - Ethiopia is the federal institution responsible for guiding Ethiopia’s agricultural and rural development agenda. Its mandate covers a wide range of functions, including the sustainable management of forests and wildlife, promoting food security, overseeing water utilization and small-scale irrigation, monitoring factors that influence agricultural growth and operating early warning systems. The Ministry also leads efforts to advance agricultural development and delivers training in agricultural and rural technologies.
